Why use synthetic soccer grass?
Currently, the pinnacle of synthetic soccer grass is a 3G soccer pitch, as recognized by FIFA and other sporting authorities in associations, such as rugby and hockey. These pitches consist of synthetic turf, sand infill, and rubber infill. We also offer an additional absorbent pad underneath to further limit risk of injury when making challenges and to increase on-pitch performance and ball speed. The longer blades and mixed crumb infills are safer surfaces for sports which require intense physical challenges than the alternative, short bladed 2G pitches.
Our synthetic grass is not limited to soccer. We provide artificial grass solutions for a range of sports and activities. At Edel Grass we also recognize the need for the next generation of synthetic soccer grass (4G pitches). In a bid to be more environmentally friendly, 4G synthetic soccer grass has all the benefits of 3G artificial pitches without the need for crumb infills. We are currently working on innovations and are hoping that the new generation of synthetic grass gains recognition with the sporting authorities.
