Football on practically every continent. With every country having its own footballing governing body and the overarching FIFA, the centralised nature of the game has allowed quick, important changes to happen across the globe. One of these changes was the standardisation of the pitches. Based on this standardisation, and even improving upon aspects of it, Edel Grass created their own artificial football pitches.
The way we play has been greatly altered over the years. However, nothing has been edited more than rules and regulations regarding health and safety. With FIFA’s high standard for safe playing surfaces, clubs needed to search for cheaper and more durable alternatives for pitches, rather than daily high-quality maintenance. Thus, the rise of artificial football pitches began. The evolution of these pitches has also been nothing short of miraculous. To the point now where our artificial football pitches are nearly indistinguishable from regular natural pitches. Our 3G pitches have a similar ball-speed and natural bi-colour look. However, with the incorporation of shock padding, our artificial football pitches offer a safer landing surface after a dive from a keeper or a tackle from a centre half.

Aside from the decreased risk of injury to players, and the on-pitch performance, we also consider maintenance when developing our artificial football pitches. Our synthetic pitches are more durable than naturals, being able to endure thousands of hours of play time, without needing day-to-day maintenance.

These pitches have shorter blades of grass and sand infill, which is ideal for fast paced sports which don’t require heavy physical challenges.
