Sustainable sports pitch renovation in Meppel

Together with Antea Sport, we are currently refurbishing four football pitches at Ezinge Sports Park in gemeentemeppel with our high-quality Edel Hybrideblade artificial turf, featuring natural cork infill.

During the renovation, existing materials are reused wherever possible. For example, the fencing and edging boards from previously renovated SBR pitches are being given a second life within this project. In addition, the top layer removed from the current natural grass pitches is being carefully stored for future reuse. A great example of how circular thinking is increasingly becoming an integral part of sports pitch renovations.

The choice of Edel HybridBlade fits seamlessly with this sustainable approach. Thanks to the combination of durable monofilament fibres and a curled fibre structure, the cork infill remains securely in place while the pitch maintains a natural appearance. The result is excellent playing performance, enhanced player comfort, and a durable system designed for intensive use.
