Early this year, our Croatian contractor Edel Sport built a beautiful new soccer pitch according to FIFA Quality Pro standards in Tivat, Montenegro. The city of Tivat is located at the Bay of Kotor and is often referred to as little Monaco.
The region of Kotor, including Tivat, suffered from a severe earthquake in 1979. A large number of monuments, including four Romanesque churches and city walls, were damaged. Since then, most of the town is restored and protected, largely by UNESCO. We are delighted to have made the restored city even better with a beautiful and high-quality artificial soccer system. Our Edel Flashblade sand- and performance-filled soccer turf will now be the home of the young sports men and women of the future.
Edel Flashblade 60/13 SB-S
One of the most beautiful spots in the town center of Tivat is now enriched with a municipal soccer field that will be used for training and recreation. The bound stone sub-base was prepared for the build and with a pile height of 60 mm, this Edel Flashblade soccer field is a resilient and proven system for long-term intensive performance. After the installation of the grass, the surface was filled with sand for extra stabilization and rubber crumb infill from recycled car tyres for optimal performance, resistance and safety. This way, the chance of injuries is minimized every time the field is used in the upcoming years of play.
FIFA Quality Pro soccer field
Our Croatian partner did an outstanding job on this beautiful project. Edel grass offers a number of Edel Flashblade systems that meet the restrictions and characteristics to build a FIFA Quality Pro certified soccer system. With its 12.000 Dtex and matt finishing, Edel Flashblade perfectly covers performance infill and gives the field an outstanding natural look. The town of Tivat can now play and use their new soccer field to heart’s desire.
