At Edel Grass and Victoria Grass Group, innovation begins at fibre level. Developed in-house by our R&D specialists and refined in close partnership with yarn and tufting experts within our group, Fuse-to-Curl™ technology represents a new chapter in artificial turf engineering.
Multi component : infinite control
Fuse-to-Curl™ is built on advanced extrusion techniques, fusing polymers with deviating characteristics into one strong yarn.
Following tufting, the fibres undergo a precise and controlled mechanical shaping process, thermofixating and permanently micro curling the yarn structure. The result is a non-directional, open-curl surface with a stable, permanent configuration, engineered not only for durability, but for bespoke performance control. Whilst sources are currently virgin, the application of recycled plastics is investigated to align with our sustainable vision and journey.
The technique enhances the ability to customize and fine-tune the intensity of yarn curling after production, tailoring each surface to the specific demands of the desired sport category, application or even the end user.
Performance versatility
Fuse-to-Curl™ technology supports circular product design and the creation of highly specialised surface systems. These surfaces compete without compromise and offer significant benefits.

By controlling crimp density and fibre behaviour, surfaces can be tuned and tested for cushioning, stability, rotational response and ball speed with player safety as the first priority!
Lean production, finishing and installation
Fuse-to-Curl™ allows multiple characteristics to be created from a single technological yarn platform.
The result is a leaner manufacturing process and reduced material complexity. Yarns are fully compatible with traditional tufting techniques and reduce the need for numerous yarn variants, simplifying stock management and production planning leading to lower environmental footprint.
By standard, products are finished using our sustainable Edel Xero Turf-to-Turf™ coating, containing 43% recycled end-of-life turf replacing traditional SBR latex coating.
Finishings are supported by approved testing method statements, including the use of conventional seaming tapes and adhesives.
Installation without compromise
Installation follows standard industry practices. No specialist tooling or retraining is required.
Unlike some looped constructions on the market, Fuse-to-Curl™ maintains conventional tuft-cut principles throughout production. The innovation in fibre engineering supports traditional processing and avoids disrupting established workflows. Standard cutting methods and seaming techniques apply. Installers experience familiar on-site handling without unexpected installation challenges.

Development platform
Fuse-to-Curl™ technology is deployed as a yarn and product development platform, delivering controllable yarn shaping and behaviour, multi-sport adaptability, performance and sustainable efficiency, all within existing production and installation frameworks.
Products featuring Fuse-to-Curl™ are:
- Purposeful designed
- Precision-engineered
- Shaped to perform
