Renewable Post-to-Play™ 3G football turf
Our Edel Athmos is crafted with a truly durable yarn, featuring a patented and unique dual-component pile structure, made with recycled component.
The inner part – or ‘core’ – consists out of Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic. The outer ‘shell’ remains virgin, ensuring colour and UV stability. Core and shell are simultaneously extruded as one. Merged together they create one strong yarn.

Innovative in design and sustainable in practice, Edel Athmos sets a new standard for environmental-friendly sports surfaces. Using PCR is a huge step forward towards better circularity in artificial turf, without losing demanding sports performance capabilities.
Edel Athmos also features our sustainable backing coating Edel Xero, a revolutionary secondary coating made with end-of-life turf sports fields, making it even more durable. Edel Athmos, equipped with Ede Xero and filled with a natural performance infill, shows a staggering 43,3% deduction on environmental costs during it’s lifespan, compared to a traditional produced virgin material 3G system.
Particularly suitable for 3G pitches, the top layer of Edel Athmos can be filled with natural performance-infills like Cork or our patented Edel Thrix – Natural performance-infill mix.
