Groundbreaking event at SV Bubali Aruba

Next milestone for football development at SV Bubali in Aruba!

On July 8, 2026, we celebrated another important milestone in the FIFA Forward 7 Football Pitches Aruba Project with the official groundbreaking ceremony at S.V. Bubali.

As one of Aruba’s most historic football clubs, founded in 1943, S.V. Bubali has been developing players and strengthening the local football community for more than eight decades. We’re honoured to contribute to the club’s next chapter by delivering a modern, high-quality artificial turf pitch that will support football development for many years to come.

Second project of 7 in total

The groundbreaking marked the second project to officially start construction within the FIFA Forward programme in Aruba, bringing the island another step closer to seven new football facilities that will benefit clubs, players and local communities across the country.

As Edel Grass we sincerely thank everyone making this milestone possible. Our appreciation goes to the Government of Aruba and for driving and supporting sports development, FIFA with its vision and investments through the FIFA Forward Programme, the Aruban Football Association (AVB) being for executive leadership and collaboration throughout the project, and of course S.V. Bubali for their trust and warm hospitality during this special occasion.

We also thank all project partners, supervisors, contractors and other stakeholders whose expertise and commitment are helping turn this ambitious programme into reality. With dedication, we continue our work as head contractor for this landmark initiative and projects alongside so many partners and individuals who share the ambition of creating better football facilities for future generations.
