With the globalisation of football, the regulations dictated by the overarching governing bodies such as national bodies and FIFA have been set in place to standardise the game both in the field of play as the surrounding aspects. The most important aspect that is regulated: the pitch. Well, at least we like to think so! Currently, the pinnacle of synthetic football turf is a 3G pitch. However, at Edel Grass we also offer 4G aside from 3G pitches. The former being more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
All our systems offer the safety precautions necessary to limit injury to the players. We install a shock absorbent pad under the surface to increase on-pitch performance and ball speed whilst ensuring the players physical wellbeing.
The future of synthetic football turf
As previously mentioned, we aim to be greener at Edel Grass. This is why we’ve started making innovative strides in the creation of the next generation pitches. These 4G pitches limit the use of plastics. However, we always issue the warning that these pitches are not yet officially recognized by FIFA, and therefore cannot be used in professional matches.
