We are delighted to announce our Preferred Supplier licence for hockey turf in the Quality Programme of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has been extended for 2 years, till the end of 2019.
An extensive evaluation process resulted in this renewed approval for several Edel Grass hockey turf products including Edel ID, the best non-filled water based hockey field-system available on the global market.
The exclusive Quality Programme Preferred Supplier status was renewed for 7 existing suppliers in total. With 2 new certified manufacturers and 1 new supplier added to the FIH Quality Programme, the worldwide total of Preferred Suppliers is now 10. The increase gives facility owners a wider choice when they need to select a company to guarantee quality in providing both turf and installation services worldwide.
As FIH CEO Jason McCracken states: “We’re delighted to see the positive growth in the FIH Quality Programme. The fact that seven Preferred Suppliers renewed their licenses and two of the companies have upgraded from Certified Manufacturers suggests that they are seeing real commercial benefits from this initiative.”
FIH together with Edel Grass and other preferred suppliers remain focussed on the quality improvement of hockey fields worldwide. Besides the key recommendations e.g. sustainability, affordability and accessibility, issued by the International Olympic Committee in their Olympic Agenda 2020, this is the key to long term success of hockey sport.
